Stacey Q
We have an exclusive interview for all our readers today! STACEY Q! Stacey Q is a long time fave of many of our collaborators here at Milk Carton Pop Stars. She has just released her new single Trip from her forthcoming album Color Me Cinnamon. It is with great pleasure that we bring to you our very first phone interview. I apologize for the sound, as it was our first time doing this, we had a few technical difficulties and had to put Miss Q on speakerphone. How many times can I say the word "awesome"? Find out for yourself! Transcript to come shortly! Thanks again to our dear friend Shawn (1/2 of Hydra Productions) for setting this up and for Stacey for being a total doll! Don't forget to order your Trip single at perfectbeat.com and to checkout Stacey's fabulous site @ staceyqonline.com! Tell 'em Milk Carton Popstars sent ya!

That's so cool that you got to speak with her! It is hard to hear her. I would suggest using Skype and Audio Hijack...that's what I use for my interviews, and it works very well. You can adjust gain and so forth, but even without that, the person on the other end comes out very clear. Keep up the great work. Hope I can help contribute sometime!
What an amazing interview! Stacey sounds lovely and I think you did a great job asking her about the different stages of her career. I'm so happy she's working on new material and still doing it for the fans. I think the sound quality is fine. I could hear her perfectly.
And Joe, thanks so much for bringing up the Pop Panel! I would die to have Stacey grace my blog with her sublime presence! X
Justin, I had this fancy contraption that was supposed to record both ends of our conversation, but could not figure out how to use it and as a last resort had to put her on speaker phone!
Mike, thanks doll! I hope she does partake, she would be the queen of poptrash addicts if she did!
And Mike, I did try to talk about all stages of her career. I wish I could have gone back and ask about NIGHTS LIKE THIS but we only had so much time to talk. Next time!
Aw, Bunny, thanks SO much for asking my questions and mentioning me! You are AWESOME! Mark will love to hear her thoughts on Madonna, and it's so cool she still talks to Acacia! Maybe this can lead to a Bardeux collaboration! Can't wait to get my hands on her new album. And I hope she comes to Toronto is she tours. Again, great job. You must have been so excited. (And though you didn't get a chance to talk about Nights Like This, I love that you talked about Boomerang. I've never heard her talk about it!) xo
Cool! AS I'M WRITING THIS, I'm listening to the band where she was lead singer back in 1983: SSQ! :)
Still a great album after all these years, "Play Back".
